Founded on November 15, 1935, by the Tertiary Sisters of Saint Francis, St. Elizabeth’s Catholic General Hospital Shisong has grown into a leading healthcare institution in Cameroon. It established the Catholic School of Health Sciences (CSHS) Shisong, training skilled health professionals annually. Renowned for its quality services, the hospital continues to serve the nation and beyond. Its Cardio-Surgical Centre, inaugurated in 2009, provides advanced cardiac care to West and Central Africa.
THE ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK
The Administrative Block serves as the management hub of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic General Hospital Cardiac Centre Shisong, ensuring the smooth coordination of all hospital operations. It houses the Director’s Office, which oversees the overall functioning and strategic direction of the institution, and the Deputy Director’s Office, which assists in day-to-day administration and supervision of departments

NOTE
St. Elizabeth Catholic General Hospital is God given. It survives by the grace of God. The prayers the patients, staff and caregivers do are answered. It is rare to see a Hospital today that treats before demanding payment. At times, when patients are unable to pay, they are given light jobs, upon discharge, jobs that cannot even pay for their hospitalization, talk less of medications, lab tests and others. Shisong Hospital is one in a million.
